Operating as a sustainable company forms part of the foundations of the business and reinforces our position as a key supply chain partner for our customers.

By committing to work with specialist sustainability consultants Redshaw Advisors and Plannet Zero we have a defined carbon reduction pathway in order to achieve our future net zero ambitions.

Following our 2022 annual assessment PSD have succeeded in achieving “operational carbon neutral” certification.

Whilst continuing on our carbon reduction journey, our sustainability consultant partners have also assisted the company in identifying and investing in verified environmental projects that we are delighted to support.

Here is a brief summary of the projects we have invested in as part of our carbon neutrality status.

“Verra” certified Wind Farm Project – Dominican Republic

Producing 97.8 MW of clean energy per annum

Avoiding 2,467,667 tCO2e emissions per annum

Redshaw Advisors / Green the UK & Royal forestry society Tree Planting Project

A project that aims to plant 24,000 trees in UK between Oct 23 – April 24.

Supporting this type of project enables PSD’s climate positive position helping to reduce anthropogenic carbon emissions whilst improving biodiversity.

We will continue to measure and improve our scope 1, 2 & 3 footprints going forward to ensure we reduce our environmental impact as a responsible and sustainable group.
