Plant a Tree

The “Plant a Tree with PSD” initiative offers our customers the chance to participate in helping tackle climate change by increasing the planets tree population.

PSD will plant a tree for every vehicle hired.

We have partnered with Carma a B Corp Certified Company to facilitate the tree planting projects. They work with reputable organisations and charities to carry out the work both in the UK and overseas;

The Green Task Force Charity

Supporting & employing ex service veterans to plant trees in the UK and helping to gain full time employment whilst helping to treat PTSD and mental health conditions through nature-based therapy (NBT)

Trees are the biggest weapon combatting climate change, absorbing and storing harmful carbon dioxide (CO2) from the atmosphere and releasing clean oxygen back into the air, as well as preventing flooding, reducing local temperatures and providing habitats for wildlife.

Engaging with local communities worldwide utilising data driven tree planting ensuring transparency and accountability of the long-term projects, collaborating with the Earthlung organisation and The Kenyan Forrest service.

The current project – planting mangroves in Mteza Creek Kenya, which will provide fishing grounds and additional income streams for the local communities, where 62% live below the poverty line.

In addition, the mangroves will provide nutrition and sustainable harvests, whilst stabilising the coastlines as a vital defence during tropical storms.
