Teardrops Supporting Your Commuity
PSD Vehicle Rental is proud to support Teardrops Supporting Your Community which is an incredible St Helens-based not-for-profit organization, dedicated to uplifting and supporting our local community in numerous ways. 🤝
As part of our commitment to making a positive impact, PSD Vehicle Rental have supplied Teardrops with a much-needed van for their operations. This van will be instrumental in collecting and delivering essential food parcels to those in need, as well as facilitating the collection of furniture for their fantastic new upcycling venture. ♻️
We invite you to learn more about the amazing work Teardrops does by visiting their website: www.teardrops.org.uk. 💙

Nick Dyer, Hub Manager for Teardrops, told us the following,
Teardrops Supporting Your Community are an independent registered charity based in St Helens supporting homeless and vulnerable individuals and families in the community.
Part of our service is providing a safe space for people to meet and enjoy healthy, nutritious hot meals and drinks at our Hub
We usually support around 50 – 60 people per night and offer access to clothing, toiletries and bedding. In 2022 we cooked over 8500 meals in our Night Café.
We also offer support and advice from our dedicated Homeless Prevention Team. Support ranges from benefit and housing advice to form filling via our referral system or drop in sessions at the Hub.
We support 4 local primary schools with food pantries where we deliver over 50 trays of food per month helping around 150 families gain access to much needed food.
At the end of June 2023 we hope to open our new project in newly refurbished premises on Duke Street, St Helens.
We will be opening Mellor and Black Community Café and Made Up Furniture Upcycling and Restoration Store.
Our aim is to provide great food at good prices for all the community in the café and to present amazing upcycled furniture for sale in the store. Our advice centre will also relocate here to be more accessible to all.
Please visit our website at www.teardrops.org.uk or our Facebook page for more information including how and what to donate and how to get involved as a volunteer.
We’re sure you’ll agree this is a really worthwhile cause, and any small donation or involvement you can offer will be gratefully received and go a long way.
